As a web designer from Melbourne who has been in the business for many years, I’ve had a lot of experience working with Joomla CMS. Joomla is used by millions of people to manage their websites, including companies like Ebay, IKEA, and even the High Court of Australia. Joomla has been around for many years, and as a result it is an extremely reliable and easy to use CMS.
What does Joomla offer?
Where do we start?
Step 1 – Interview. I start the process by interviewing the client to determine what they require.
Step 2 – Initial development. From the first interview, I’ll start to build the basic site.
Step 3 – Design. At this point, I’ll gather any images, logos and branding that need to be integrated into the site.
Step 4 – Feedback. The client will review the site and based on this, I will add and customise plug-ins and applications to meet their requirements. These customisations can range from e-commerce systems, to slideshows, to music plyers.
Step 5 – Changes and feedback. The last stage is tweaking the website according to the client’s feedback. I’ll continue to make small changes until the site is fully functioning and the client is happy.
Step 6 – Going live. Once the website is perfect and exactly as the client feels it should be, the website is moved to the live server and ready for all to see and use.
What if I want to migrate to Joomla CMS
If you are currently using a different CMS but would like to migrate to Joomla, I can set this up for you and build in any customisation and applications you require. As your Joomla website will play a significant role in your business, it is important to keep it up to date and secure. You don’t want customers to turn away because they are worried about a security breach or the possibility of their data being stolen. Let me help you with the initial set-up, so you and your customers can be confident that their experience on your site will be a pleasant and safe one. Once the site is set-up, maintaining your Joomla website is easy and can be done by anyone with basic HTML/CSS skills.
What about Joomla maintenance and updates?
While most of the Joomla updates can be handled by the client, if you run into problems or find a certain update particularly problematic, I can help. I’m happy to provide maintenance, support and advice as needed to ensure you get the most from your Joomla website.
Working with Joomla for so long, means I am comfortable taking on large customisation tasks, or smaller ones, such as ensuring the Joomla CMS is up to date. If you want someone to help you update your web content, I can also help with this. If you don’t have the extra time to update your site each week, let me help. After all, there is nothing like a fresh, updated site to grab your customers’ attention.
